Back Order Policy


We do our best to keep all items in stock and readily available to ship. Our website displays live inventory of our warehouse. As such, items not in stock cannot be ordered online. If an item is out of stock and you would like to be notified when it is restocked, email sales@glasscolor.com and include item number and quantity. We will do our best to notify you via email once the item(s) are available for purchase.

In the rare scenario where you’ve placed an order, and an item in your order is temporarily out of stock, you will be notified via phone or email.

If you have multiple items in your order, you will have the option of having the "in stock" items ship and the "out of stock" items will be backordered for you. You have 2 business days to contact us to revise your order. If not, we will ship the “in stock” items as requested on your order. As soon as the backordered item(s) arrive at our warehouse, it will be shipped and charged a flat shipping fee of $5.00. You can add up to 5 kilos of color items to a back order and still only be charged the $5.00 shipping fee. You must notify us to cancel a backordered item, or you will be responsible for sending it back to us and a 15% restocking fee will be applied to your return.

We will notify you of the backorder status and any alternatives available by one of the following methods depending on your shipping choice:

  • GROUND SHIPPING: We will call or email you. If there are alternatives available, we will include the information in the email or comment and hold your order for two days, or until we hear from you, whichever is earlier.
  • EXPRESS SHIPPING: We will call the number given on your order information. If we are unable to reach you by 2:00 PST, we will ship the order as instructed without the back ordered items.

We ship backordered items as soon as possible after they are received by OCR.

Items received within 30 days of their order date will be automatically shipped with no notification.

Items that have been outstanding beyond thirty days, we will contact you to determine if the item is still desired.

Unless requested otherwise, all backordered items will be shipped FedEx Ground.
